# Lanesurf Agent API

> Get a freight load covered, or get a truck loaded, from any AI agent.

Lanesurf books loads: an eligible truck at an eligible rate. Our agents email, call and text carriers,
negotiate the rate, and bring back offers. This API lets any AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and
others) or script use Lanesurf directly.

## How it works

**1. Get a key**

Brokers: [sign up your brokerage](https://docs.lanesurf.com/brokers/get-a-key.md). Carriers: [sign up](https://docs.lanesurf.com/carriers/sign-up.md) with an MC or DOT number and a work email.

**2. Send the load as fields**

Equipment, pickup and delivery city, state and date. Lanesurf tells you exactly which fields are missing.

**3. Lanesurf works the phones and inbox**

Our agents contact carriers, collect MC/DOT, dispatch contact and rate, and negotiate.

**4. You decide**

Read the offers and pick a carrier. Your team reaches out to the carrier to book and sends the rate confirmation from your own TMS.
